Superhero Health and Exercise

I've always been into two things for most of my life which are weight lifting and comic books. Right now I'm really into health and fitness in general, and I've created a site dedicated to health and fitness called health and fitness . I've recently added a section about superheroes and fitness. I talk about actors and what they do to get into shape for superhero movies, and some comic book characters that relied on the gym to get their super powers.

Time-Rider Returns

No I'm not talking about the old movie from the early 80s. I'm talking about a comic book creation of mine. I spent quite some time a couple of years or more ago on creating a superhero time traveler character. At first I had him travel time by just walking through doors of time, but this time around he's only going through time with the help of his flying 57 Chevy equipped with its very own artificial intelligence. Yes, my comic book may be really campy, but if you like old fashioned comic book goodness with a slight twist then give it a try.

The latest story also features another character I call Johnny Rebel, who has been around since the Civil War, but is really digging the 1950s so much he's gone to dressing like James Dean. Yes, that's right the latest story starts in the 1950s. Rebel is sort of like Superman only with an attitude and electrical powers. He's not from another planet however. He's a man with a curse.

Time-Rider is just an average guy living on a farm who once was involved with the Philadelphia Experiment. He has no memory of the time travel adventures that occurred due to his military mission. His wife however knows everything. At some point she's got a lot of splainin to do as a very popular 50s TV star might say.

So don't be square. Take a ride back into the 50s and beyond with the adventures of Time-Rider.

2010 Movies for Action Junkies

Ok guys, 2010 is here and I thought we might list some of the movies that might be of interest to fan boys, action junkies, and general all around movie lovers.

First up, Clash of the Titans. Opening April 2, 2010 Here's the trailer for your enjoyment.

Clash of the Titans is a remake of the 1981 film of the same name that is currently for sale on DVD right now. Here's a bit of it's official description -

"The ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus is helpless to save his family from Hades, vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus and unleash hell on earth."

It's got Sam Worthington from Avatar and Terminator Salvation. Of course he's really popular right now since Avatar is making more money than any movie ever made. That is unless you count in inflation, but who knows if it keeps going at the current pace it might be the box office champ of all time inflation or not.

Next up The Losers based on a DC Comics book. Opening April 9, 2010

A tale of double cross and revenge, centered upon the members of an elite U.S. Special Forces unit sent into the Bolivian jungle on a search and destroy mission. The team-Clay, Jensen, Roque, Pooch and Cougar -find themselves the target of a lethal betrayal instigated from inside by a powerful enemy known only as Max. Presumed dead, the group makes plans to even the score when they're joined by the mysterious Aisha, a beautiful operative with her own agenda. Working together, they must remain deep undercover while tracking the heavily-guarded Max, a ruthless man bent on embroiling the world in a new high-tech global war.

This one stars Chris Evans from the Fantastic Four and Jeffrey Dean Morgan from Supernatural and the Watchmen.

Then Opening April 16, 2010 there's Kick-Ass.

April 23rd, 2010 The Expendables. I've seen two different release dates for this one including one for August, but whenever it comes out it's going to be good! It's basically every action star that ever blew up a building in one movie.

Sylvester Stallone ... Barney 'The Schizo' Ross

Jason Statham ... Lee Christmas

Jet Li ... Bao Thao

Bruce Willis ... Mr. Church

Arnold Schwarzenegger

Dolph Lundgren ... Gunnar Jensen

Eric Roberts ... Monroe

Steve Austin ... Dan Paine

Mickey Rourke

Van Damme was even offered a part but turned it down. Sorry, but that was a lame move. I like Van Damme, but it's not like he had any better parts coming up this year. This could have been his chance at restarting his career.

Iron Man May 7, 2010
This is it the big one! This is the one we are all waiting for buds! Iron Man is back starring Robert Downey Jr whose last movie Sherlock Holmes was also a huge success!

June 11th, 2010 A-team

It ain't sci-fi but heck it's the A-team. If you grew up in the 80's you know you got to watch this one! Only wish Mr. T was on it. It's been reported the original Face Man and Murdock will make cameos at least. I love it when a good movie comes together!

The Last Airbender July 2, 2010

And that's some of the cool stuff to look forward to this year.
